They may have taken responsibility for delivering to him personal documents and for receiving, from his hands, an allowance of 150 Reais (US$ 95). The Secret Diaries series of reports, the RPC-TV and the Gazeta do Povo newspaper, which denounced the scheme of embezzlement of more than 100 million Reais (US$ 64 million) from the State Assembly here, just won the biggest prize of the Brazilian journalism. This recognition is not the exclusive merit of journalists, but of each Parana citizen who were outraged at the allegations, all of us who want an uncorrupted Paraná. Continue reading
February 2nd, 2011 | This Wednesday started with scenes that will surely go down in history of Parana. At dawn, just hours after the inauguration of new Deputies, the Military Police took over the building of the Legislative Assembly. It was a request from the new Assembly President. The Military Police went there in order to security men could be taken out. Our reporters followed everything exclusively. The decision to put police officers to take over the Assembly came after the new president, Mr. Valdir Rossoni, was threatened.
